This delicious salmon dish, made easy using Whiskey Oak Seasonings, will liven up your every occasion dinner. Even better, it should only takes about 25 minutes from start to finish! Whiskey Oak Smoked Salt and Whiskey Oak Smoked Sugar melt into a salmon filet to form a salty-sweet glaze that has a hint of smokiness as well. This simple recipe is sure to become a favorite in your household as well as among your guests.
So let’s get to it!
Run the salmon filet under cold water and feel for any remaining pin bones which may need to be removed. Start off with massaging a generous sprinkle of Whiskey Oak Smoked Salt and then add the Whiskey Oak Smoked Sugar. I tend to use equal portions of each with a tad bit more of the Whiskey Oak Smoked Sugar.
TIP: Make sure to thoroughly pat dry the salmon with a paper towels before adding the seasonings, as it will allow the spices to stick better to the delicate flesh! A light spray of cooking or olive oil will help as well. The key part of cooking fish is to not overcook it! If you are pan searing a piece of salmon, I would recommend having a piping hot pan and place the your fillet skin side down first, cooking 2-4 minutes per side for a medium rare, depending on the thickness of you fillet.
Since the real star is the salmon, the grilled veggies were prepared simple; tossed lightly in olive oil and simply seasoned with Whiskey Oak Smoked Salt, a grinding of fresh pepper and a dash of rosemary.
